Oh, I’m not talking about herself being counter-popular-culture. She’s counter-current-American-Christian-culture.
Because when you start reading herself, you start looking at the world and thinking, “Migosh, every fractioned inch of this dirty, disgusting, despicable world is cherished by God. At all times. Including, especially, and shockingly, myself.”
(Yeah, the Bible says that too, but us MOTR denominational layfolk as a whole don’t really spend a lot of time reading the Bible. We spend more time listening to other people tell us what the Bible says. Which kind of sucks.)
